Leadership Development Program
A Brotherhood Leadership Experience for the Next Generation of Fraternity Men.
The Alpha Gamma Sigma Fraternity leadership development program is an innovative, self-driven, experiential learning journey. It is a unique learning experience, exclusive to Alpha Gamma Sigma Fraternity Gamma Chapter, designed to develop and prepare the next generation of leaders.
INTENT:
- A comprehensive leadership development program that instills Alpha Gamma Sigma Principles, inspires our Mission, and strengthens the bonds of brotherhood.
- Establish a principled, purpose-driven, and competency-based leadership development curriculum to support career endeavors and life aspirations.
- Ensure an experiential, self-driven, learning journey of exploration, development, and discovery that encourages and engages members to be the best that they can be.
- Fully supported by Alumni members to share principled learning experiences, foster academic pursuits, and provide life coaching, mentorship, and career guidance.

ASPIRE TO ACTIVATE
Acclimate:
- Off-site New Member Retreat focused on acclimation with other New Members
- Experiential learning activities, team building exercises, and personal reflection
- Goal Setting, Clifton StrengthsFinder talent assessment, and Personal Affirmations
- Social Media Guidelines and Fraternity/University Policies and Procedures
Assimilate:
- New Member/Big Brother/Active Chapter Assimilation activities and events
- Big Brother Roles and Responsibilities Workshop (Held separately during Retreat)
- Orientation to UNL Greek System and University resources and facilities
Associate:
- New Member introduction to Alumni Association and Alumni Members
- New Member Luncheon and career development workshops led by Alumni members
- Alumni Association Meeting and the annual Big Red Tailgate event
- Alumni “Principled Leadership” Speaking Series (Chapter Meetings)
Activate:
- 11-week Learning Journey navigated via online learning management system
- Principle-driven, Mission inspired, competency-based curriculum.
- Experiential learning activities supported by Big Brothers and Active Members
- Formal Initiation and Brotherhood Activation Ceremony
ASPIRE TO LEAD
- Executive Leadership Program designed to develop leadership competencies and skills
- Active Executive Board and Alumni Board Executive Leadership Retreat
- Alumni Mentors assigned to support each Active Executive Board Officer
- Accountability Culture training led by renowned Culture Partners Learning Group
CAREER AND LIFE ASPIRATIONS
- Graduating Active Members advance to Alumni Membership
- Formal Dinner and Celebration Event hosted by the Alumni Executive Board
- Establish career and local networking contacts to affirm ongoing Alumni support system
